Don’t be shy - make a move!

When you are in an online relationship, you can keep your distance for as long as you like. You can date without having to meet in real life. This is a great way for shy people to make contacts and it is a safe way to date without getting hurt. However, there comes a point in an online relationship where one person has to take the next step. After all, you want to fall in love.
If you feel you like someone well enough to want to meet in person, then make the first move. If they sent you the first contact request, then the next move is probably up to you. Worried about asking for a date? Then ask your online friend to join you for a concert or a sports event. In an online relationship, you know each other’s interests from the profiles, so pick something you have in common and make it a casual date.
If you prefer the other person to make the first move, then make it easy. Point out activities you both enjoy, ask about weekend plans or hint that you have none yourself. As soon as they get the hint, you are bound to receive an invitation for a first date. Once you have taken your online relationship offline, you will quickly find out if you are ready to fall in love.
